Election Over: I know what's going to happen on November 9th

My Blog is named "A Little of This and That!" Appropriately so, because I always want to be able to write what I feel about any topic, especially about what may be going on in the world at any given time. Like the title "Author", I personally favor "Writer", not to be pigeon-holed into any specific genre. With that said, I'd like to comment on what one can expect on Wednesday, November 9, 2016.
Everyone seems to be frantic and glued to the TV, radio and Smartphone, wondering about what's going to happen on November 9th. Worried about who's going to win or lose the election; well, I'm not worried because I already know what's going to happen on November 9th when it's finally over. The world will still be the same. The sun is going to shine. The moon is going to go down. The birds are still going to fly. The wind will blow. How do I know this? Because the ONE I serve is faithful. HE sends new mercies every day. No matter who wins or loses. HE will be the same and faithful on HIS promises to cover those who love and praise HIM. With HIM there are no limitations, questions, second guesses, no hesitations, HE is totally in charge.
We should all be like Jeremiah, the "weeping prophet", he wept when he saw the ruins of Jerusalem. The city was totally ruined by the Babylonian invasion of 586 BC. All he could see was pain, suffering, and destruction, but he also knew that the people had brought it upon themselves. After all, he had tried to forewarn them. As he grieved over this horrific loss of land, family and friends, he somehow found hope as was recorded in Lamentations 3:19-25.

19 The thought of my suffering and homelessness
is bitter beyond words.
20 I will never forget this awful time,
as I grieve over my loss.
21 Yet I still dare to hope
when I remember this:
22 The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
23 Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning.
24 I say to myself, "The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!"
25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him,
to those who search for him.
So, instead of being frustrated with the election process, the candidates, and the media; let's just pray for them. Instead of throwing up our hands, let's lift up our eyes to the hills, and bend our knees to pray; for we know where our help cometh from
No matter the results, my God, our God rules and reigns and I trust HIM. I trust that he will give the winner, whomever it is, what he or she needs to govern with fidelity. Great IS HIS faithfulness and it never ceases!
