Red Line Mentality: Why Am I Always Late?
Is it what I'm calling RED LINE MENTALITY or could it truly be LEONARDO DAVINCI SYNDROME? I'M LATE! AGAIN! Running late. Seems to be my Modis Operandi as of 'late'. (pun intended) Sad thing is I've accepted it as status quo, but why? I used to be punctual and loathed others who were not. Why is this? Could it be an age thing? (65 in a few months) or could it be what I'm calling RED LINE MENTALITY? To me that means running on empty, on fumes. The tank is empty. The phone battery is dead. The gauge is at the RED LINE and I keep trying to add or do ONE MORE THING before I take off for where I should be going. Paying attention to some of the things that are making me late, isn't putting the finishing touches on the outfit that I'm wearing, but projects and tasks that I'm working on. I've discovered that some suffer from what is called the LEONARDO DAVINCI SYNDROME. The medical society has defined this as:
"A popular term for a possible "condition" that may affect a highly creative person who gets new ideas and visions faster than he or she can implement them, or even fully record or describe, leading them to constantly start new projects without finishing the old ones."
Is this you too? Is there a cure for it? Should we worry or just go with the flow? Comments welcomed.
